Frank Steck has been involved in the entertainment industry
since 1986. He has produced more than 1,500 shows in almost
as many venues across the country.
|
Frank's start in the entertainment business began booking
local and national entertainment at Marquette University
in Milwaukee as head of the Student Programming department.
From there, he started a rickshaw bicycle business in
London
while attending Ealing College. Upon graduation, he worked
for Capitol Records and eventually became head of Marketing
and Promotions for new artist development for the Midwest.

Frank then decided to explore
corporate entertainment and worked as an entertainment
producer for Corporate
Productions
in Chicago. This led to an account management and entertainment
production role at Jack Morton Productions in Minneapolis.

In May of 1994, Frank followed his entrepreneurial desire
to run his own business and founded Spotlight Corporate
Entertainment Inc. Through Spotlight, Frank has produced
more than 1,000 private corporate shows with some of the
biggest names in the industry, including Jerry Seinfeld,
Kenny Loggins, Tony Bennett and Jay Leno. He works with
a variety of regional, national and international acts and
celebrity speakers. Projects have taken Frank to all of
the major convention cities of the United States, as well
as Canada, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands and Mexico.

Frank works as an agent/producer at Spotlight Corporate
Entertainment Inc. His clients rely on him to book entertainment
and speakers for their corporate meetings and private events.
In addition, he takes care of the production needs, which
require contracting the sound, lights, staging, travel,
video, backline and rider requirements for the performers.

Frank has been an active
member of Meeting Professionals International (MPI)
since
1990 and has served for
two years on its Board of Directors. In 1997, Frank
joined the well-respected Young Entrepreneurs'
Organization
(YEO) and is currently President of the Minnesota
Chapter. Frank is also active with the International
Special Events Society (ISES) and the Greater Minneapolis
Conventions & Visitors Association (GMCVA).

He has also served on the Marquette University Minnesota
Alumni Board of Directors.
